I am going to do whatever I can to make sure that this gets the attention it deserves b/c big cooperations like this should not be able to screw over their customers. I paid almost $30,000 for this car with the expectations that it would be safe, look like it did when I first purchased it (as long as no accidents happened etc). The fact that Dodge/Chrysler knows that this is an ongoing issue for their cars since 2014 and they refuse to fix the issue prior to putting them on the market is outrageous. They were the ones to tell me that this is such a huge problem with my make and model of car that they never are able to get parts in for months at a time, and even when they do it is the same parts that I have and people always come back with the same problem. I took it to a shop when I had to get a scrape fixed and asked about the door panels. The fact that I am a single, female, traveling nurse and my doors will not lock at times is definitely NOT ok. I have done a lot of research and apparently this is a safety issue b/c airbags have deployed unexpectedly, or have not deployed during accidents causing harm. It has gotten so bad that my doors will not lock every time. My door panels on all doors, aside from the drivers door are all warping away from the windows. I am encouraging them to file a concern with your group and to ask for a recall of the car for this reason due to the uconnect system/screen delaminating. This appears from Chrysler Forums to be an issue among a large group of Chrysler 300 Year Model 2018 owners. This is a safety hazard as it causes the driver to be distracted in order to attend to the incessant beeping and issues related to AC/heat, navigation or radio (volume, etc.), and attempt to connect with emergency services. The car will randomly beep, change air temperatures, start navigation, cause the loss of hands-free communication. This has also caused, twice now, the touch screen/I connect system to attempt dialing 911/assist emergency services without me touching the screen. If we were to point to any improvement in the interior cabin it would be in regards to more usable storage space for every day items like smartphones and keys, along with larger cup holders but we’re bordering on nitpicking here.Touch screen delaminating: The vehicle's LCD screen has become delaminated which causes the control of the radio, air conditioning, navigation, and other features controlled by the "radio" portion of the car to become dysfunctional. This is thanks to the upgraded 19 speaker, 900 Watt Harman Kardon system GreenEdge speaker and amplifier technology.Ĭombined, these features and the interior fit and finish truly did make the 300C Luxury Series live up to its name. We also appreciated the ability to balance the audio in the vehicle through the touch screen allowing you to target zones within the vehicle. Overall, the sound system in the 300C was above average with very nice acoustics in the interior cabin. The 8.4 inch touch screen utilizes Chrysler’s Uconnect system and is one of the more intuitive menu systems on the market. In addition, a technology feature standard on all models is the humidity sensor, which continuously monitors the windshield for risk of fogging and automatically adjusts the interior climate level to prevent the windshield from fogging up. The interior cabin offers plenty of leg room both in the front and rear seats and provides a pleasantly quiet ride even at highway speeds.
